Tikvah LeKallah is a compassionate and discreet Hachnasat Kallah fund based in Melbourne. Each year, we support as many couples as possible with essential wedding expenses and help them set up their first home.

What should be a time of joy and celebration can often become a source of financial stress. Our mission is to ease that burden and ensure every couple can begin their marriage with dignity, stability, and simcha.

The Tikvah LeKallah Fund ensures that all donations go directly to recipients, assisting many families each year — and Baruch Hashem, the demand continues to grow. Our fund provides modest contributions to help cover specific wedding expenses or essential items needed to set up a new Jewish home — such as basic furniture, kitchenware, or linen. While this support is deeply appreciated, it often represents just a small portion of the couple’s overall needs.

“Upon hearing the wonderful news of the engagement of our child and being caught up in the joy, we were then confronted with the reality of the situation. Initially, we smiled gracefully as the wedding costs tallied up and when we thought the budget was reachable, more costs continued to be added. We had now most certainly blown our budget…what to do… how to afford the costs of our Simcha? It became a heavy burden on our minds. It was then that the Melbourne Hachnasat Kallah Fund approached us in a very respectable and gracious manner and asked how we were tracking with the Simcha preparations.

We recently made a child’s wedding BH and, as you know, the expenses quickly added up. We weren’t sure how we would cover everything. and then got a call from The Hachnasas Kallah fund offering to help. We are so grateful for the generous assistance as it removed a load from our minds, knowing that we would be able to cover costs with dignity.
